Thank you for your interest in interning with State Representative Solomon Goldstein-Rose! Unpaid internships will be offered in two locations:
State House internships will be based in Boston, and the intern must have or find their own housing in or near Boston. This intern will learn about the legislative and constituent service processes, assist in research, communications, and other areas, and work on projects based on their interests. State House interns may be full-time or part-time.
District internships will be based in Amherst, and the intern must be a resident of Amherst, Pelham, Granby, or a nearby town, or a student at one of the Five Colleges. More than one intern at a time may be chosen for this internship. These interns will help with communications, media, graphic design, videos; with research projects on specific topics; and/or with constituent engagement, including joining individual and group meetings and events in the district. District interns may also visit and assist with work at the State House as often as they can find transportation to do so. District internships have flexible hours.
There are three internship semesters: January through May (Spring), June through August (Summer), and September through December (Fall). In addition, students may apply for short internships during the intervening times between these sessions.
Applications for internships starting in January are considered until November 1st. Applications for internships starting in June are considered until April 1st. Applications for internships starting in September are considered until August 1st.
